What is dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning uses a fine, sterile blade held at an angle to lift away the outermost layer of dead skin cells, together with the soft, fine hair on the face often called peach fuzz.
Facials
A dermaplaning facial takes about 45 minutes at J Beauty Spa in Woodbridge, Vaughan. Jiman uses a blade to lift away dead skin cells and peach fuzz, between a cleanse and a mask.

Six steps, in this order.
If you are new to facials at J Beauty, your first service comes with a free consultation, so Jiman can look at your skin before she starts. It happens inside your first appointment, so you do not need a separate visit.
Please give 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel. There is no deposit.

No. Cutting hair at the surface does not change how it grows. It can feel blunt for a few days as it comes back, and softens as it grows out.
It is temporary. The fine hair grows back and the skin keeps renewing itself, so the smooth feel fades over the following weeks.
It is generally not done over an active acne breakout, a cold sore, or a flare-up of eczema or psoriasis, and moles and other raised spots are worked around. Tell Jiman about your skin before she starts.
General information, in our words, from Cleveland Clinic. It is not advice about your skin: Jiman looks at your skin and tells you what suits you.
