About acne facials
Can a facial help with acne?
A facial cleans the skin and clears blocked pores. It is not medical treatment. Acne is a medical condition, and a doctor or dermatologist is the person to see for acne that is painful, widespread or leaving marks. Many people have facials alongside the care their doctor recommends.
What should I tell Jiman before an acne facial?
Tell her about any acne medicine you take or put on your skin, especially isotretinoin or a retinoid, and about any recent peel. Some of these make the skin more fragile, and she may change the facial or suggest waiting.
